Traffic Engineering at Intersection of Kebon Nanas Applied

This is just a trial. If it goes smooth, it will be applied continuously

To anticipate traffic jam, Jakarta Transportation Dept. is going to apply traffic engineering at intersection of Jl. DI Panjaitan, Kebon Nanas, Jatinegara today, Tuesday (3/24).

Jakarta Transportation Dept. Head, Andri Yansyah disclosed it is applied by turning off a traffic light at intersection of Kebon Nanas.

"This is just a trial. If it goes smooth, it will be applied continuously," he expressed, Monday (3/13).

Here is a list of traffic engineering that will be applied, as follows;

1. From Cawang

- Vehicles heading to Tanjung Priok or vice versa will be directed to go ahead. For those who want to turn right toward Kober Kebon Nanas, must then turn to u-turn in front of Jatinegara Sub-district. Likewise with vehicles heading to Jl. Outista 3, must use u-turn in Penas or Halim Lama.

2. From Kebon Nanas 

-Vehicles heading to Jl Outista 3, will be rerouted to turn left toward Halim and use u-turn in Penas. 

3. From Jl. Outista 3

-Vehicles heading to Kebon Nanas, will be rerouted to use u-turn in front of Jatinegara Sub-district, and then continued to intersection of Kebon Nanas and turn left.

Eventually, 12 personnel assisted by police will be dispatched to smoothen the policy. Banner and signs ban related to socialization are also set up near the location.

"By doing so it is hoped able to minimize traffic jam optimally," he finished.
